# Privacy Policy Source: Last updated: September 4, 2026 ## The Short Version This is a personal portfolio site. It is a set of static pages: there are no accounts, no forms, no comment system, and no shopping cart. The site does not set any cookies of its own, does not run an analytics or advertising script, and does not build a profile of you. Nothing you do here is stored in a database that I control. ## What the Server Records The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records standard request information when a page or image is served: the IP address the request came from, the URL that was requested, the time of the request, the browser or agent's user agent string, and the referring page when one is sent. These logs exist so the host can operate and protect the service. I use them only to see that the site is up and to understand errors, and I do not try to link them to a named person. Vercel processes this data as my hosting provider, under its own privacy policy. I do not export these logs anywhere else, and I do not sell or trade any data from this site. ## Third-Party Services Every page loads the Roboto typeface from Google Fonts. That means your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, and Google receives your IP address and user agent as part of that request. Nothing else on the page is fetched from a third party: the images, stylesheet, and scripts are all served from this domain. This site is verified in Google Search Console, which shows me aggregate search statistics such as which queries led to the site. That report contains no information that identifies an individual visitor. The contact page links out to GitHub and Discord and offers a plain email link. Following one of those links takes you to a service I do not run, and what happens there is governed by that service's own privacy policy, not this one. ## Scripts Running in Your Browser The only JavaScript on this site handles the navigation menu, the rotating greeting on the home page, and the clock on the contact page. The clock is calculated in your browser from the Eastern Time zone and is never sent anywhere. No script here reads or writes cookies, local storage, or session storage. ## If You Contact Me If you email me at [arnav@somaghatta.com](mailto:arnav@somaghatta.com) or message me on Discord, I keep that conversation so I can reply and follow up. I do not add anyone to a mailing list, and I do not share those messages with anyone else. If you would like me to delete a conversation we have had, ask and I will. ## Agents and Automated Clients Automated clients are welcome here. Crawl rules are published at [/robots.txt](https://arnav.somaghatta.com/robots.txt), a machine-readable guide to the site is at [/llms.txt](https://arnav.somaghatta.com/llms.txt), and every page is available as clean Markdown at the same URL with `index.md` appended. Requests from agents are logged the same way as requests from browsers, and are not treated any differently. ## Changes and Questions If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
